According to demographic projections provided by the most qualified international institutions, France, with its total fertility rate, its number of births per year and its positive natural balance, should become, in 2050, the most populous country in Europe. This perspective calls into question both the geopolitical primates (especially with the eternal rival Germany) and the geoeconomic dynamics, in the context of a European Union grappling with the process of globalization.
